How do we keep the human element alive in a world obsessed with technology? Human connectivity is an essential part of our genetic makeup; denying it leaves us ill-nourished, leading to a state of isolation and loneliness not to mention a breakdown of social norms. How can we individually balance the technology-human continuum? How is it possible for one person to really make a difference in the midst of a mass movement?
The answer is surprisingly simple: appreciate and acknowledge the kind actions of others on a daily basis. While there are many positive attributes of technology, let’s not allow it to standardize nor marginalize human interaction. Connect with others. Reach out. Practice joy’ce daily. #sharehumankindness#joy’ceon. Please like us on Facebook and join in on the discussion.

I sat in a Sunday School class with a couple married 62 years. They smiled sweetly at each other as they shared an inspiring story about staying on the sunny side of life. They explained that they were each others' "anteaters." It is easy sometimes to have an automatic negative thought (an ANT). They were supportive of one another by helping to confront negative thoughts by speaking them aloud. If you do a web search, you'll find countless folks supplying tips for "squashing" those ANTS. Watching this adorable couple wiggle an index finger up the other's arm (mimicking anteaters) epitomized joy'ce for me!
